Andrea Caretto and Raffaella Spagna: Soil Practice

On May 28th, starting from 7 pm, Andrea Caretto and Raffaella Spagna will meet the public to present, six weeks after its beginning, the results of Soil Practice, the ‘in progress’ intervention that the two artists have carried out on the terrace of blank, as part of “Music for a long time (e/static 1999-2009)”. On this occasion the installation will be completed with the addition of new elements able to create a series of even better defined connections between the various parts, through a veritable osmotic system of relationships. Those who were present last 16th April will be able to ascertain the signs of the evolution of the work, for all the onlookers, it will be an occasion to actively participate in a process of transformation that will continue its journey even beyond the pre-established closing date of the exhibition.
Andrea Caretto (Turin, 1970) graduated in Natural Sciences at the faculty of Sciences of the University of Turin, with a thesis on scientific museology. Raffaella Spagna (Rivoli, 1967) graduated in Architecture with a major in Urban Planning at the Faculty of Architecture of the Politecnico di Torino, with a thesis on the architecture of landscape and garden art. They have been steadily collaborating since 2002, exhibiting both in public and private organizations in Italy and abroad; they also collaborate with the IRIS (Institute for Interdisciplinary Research on Sustainable Development) University Centre for Research of the Universities of Turin and Brescia. They live and work in Cambiano (Turin).
